Yes. Practice is a central part of the Summit experience. You should expect live exercises, guided applications, and opportunities to test the skills in a training environment before using them in higher-stakes conversations.

This is not a sit-and-watch event. The Summit includes instruction, breakout sessions, group exercises, scenario work, and live application. The point is not to understand negotiation concepts. The point is to use them in practice with live coaching feedback. That feedback matters because negotiation skills do not improve through information alone. It improves through repetition and correction.  

- Do I need to be comfortable with role-play?
No. You do not need to be polished or comfortable before you arrive. In fact, that is the point. The Summit gives you a safer place to practice the hard parts before the stakes are real.

- Is this useful if I’ve already read Never Split the Difference?
Yes. Reading the book gives you the concepts. The Summit gives you live practice. Many people understand the ideas, but freeze when they need to use them under pressure. This event is built to close that gap.

- Should I read Never Split the Difference before attending?
It is recommended, but not required. You will get more from the Summit if you arrive familiar with the core concepts, but the event is designed so you can participate even if you have not studied the book in advance.

- Are group discounts available?

- Is there early registration?
Yes. Early registration is scheduled for March 14 from 6:00–9:00 PM. This gives attendees a chance to check in before Day 1 begins.

- Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available in a garage connected to the Irving Convention Center with an 800-space parking capacity. The rate starts at $15 per day.  

- Which airport should I fly into?
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field are the two main airports serving Irving, Texas. 

- Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Ticket transfers may be allowed up to 1 week before the event. Contact events@blackswanltd.com and request a transfer with the original attendee name, replacement attendee name, and replacement attendee email address.

- What is the refund policy?
You can receive a full refund through March 1, 2027. Cancellations made from March 2–17, 2027 are refunded minus an 18% processing fee. After March 17, 2027, tickets are non-refundable, but the ticket value can be credited toward another Black Swan Group service or live event.
